Fluidigm Corporation, an innovator in the microfluidic market, is dedicated to delivering the promise of microfluidics through the commercialization of complete and enabling microfluidic systems that impact mission critical objectives within life science research. Fluidigm uses a proprietary process known as Multi-Layer Soft Lithography to fabricate Integrated Fluidic Circuits.



Summary:

Fluidigm is seeking a bright, enthusiastic hands-on Sr. Software Project Manager with a proven record of bringing successful, commercial systems to the life science industries. The experienced candidate will be responsible for developing instrument control, automation, and data analysis software for commercial applications. The successful candidate will manage the software development including requirements? analysis and specification, scheduling, and participate in the design, implementation, testing and fixing defects as needed.

Essential duties include:Software Project Management for instrument control, automation, and data analysis software for commercial applications. Completing projects with aggressive time tables in a rapid development environment. Delivering high quality commercial systems with a team of scientists, and engineers from initial prototypes to final systems.


Minimum Qualifications:



Essential: Proven technical, analytical, statistical analysis/modeling, critical thinking, problem-solving and interpretive skills. Proven success in delivering new, creative products within a defined schedule and budget. Solid understanding of software development process and life cycle. Minimum of 5 years project management experience in develop software applications for biosciences. A self-starter, motivated, hard working, capable of multi-tasking, work well in a team environment, provide mentoring for less senior members of the staff and communicate effectively. Software development experience in Microsoft programming environment. 

Desired: Microsoft .Net/C# software development experience. 

Education:BS, MS or PhD. in computer science or biosciences.
