Senior Software Test Manager

POSITION TITLE: Sr. SOFTWARE Test Manager
LOCATION: YORK, PA

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly self-motivated manager for a team that has responsibility of performing functional tests for shrink wrapped products for Industrial Automation industry.  The Software Test organization works closely with the Software Development group(s) by verifying the correct functionality of the features implemented. Therefore, the position will require the individual to work closely with the Software Development Manager(s) and provide input into the overall project and to enable better integration with all other Wonderware products.

 

Key experience includes implementation experience of commercial or Industrial automation products.  Experience in automated software testing, and structured, SDLF-like process is required, as well as the ability to drive execution in writing test utilities. This specifically requires the ability to write, understand and communicate the overall test plans, test designs and lead the team in Software Test portion of detailed design, and implementation of automated tests.

Skills, Experience, and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in C.S., E.E. or other related discipline preferred and six plus years of experience.
? Knowledge or experience in Batching Systems and/or MES products/industry.
? QA or Software Testing experience:   Test execution using different test methodologies including automated and manual.

? Design and implementation experience of commercial software applications on MS platforms.

? Experience with the mechanisms and methods of accurately assessing functional operation of complex software systems.

? Experience and Management experience in the software development life cycle ? 6 years or more of applied experience.

? Applied experience in writing test plans.
? Experience testing and managing teams that test with Microsoft products; MS Server OS?s, MS SQL Server, and other .NET applications.

? Experience with Rational products a plus, specifically ClearCase and ClearQuest.
? Experience with Wonderware?s InBatch or InTrack or equivalent products a plus.

 


ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:
? Strong written and verbal communications and working within a geographically distributed team environment are a must.

? Strong leadership with an aggressive approach to completing projects on time, with the required feature set with high quality.
