Senior Staff Systems Analyst

Science and Technology Corporation (www.stcnet.com), a government contracting and advanced technology firm is searching for an experienced Senior Staff Systems Analyst.

 

Position Description:

 

Support completion of a program strategy for independent verification and validation (IV&V) consistent with the planned verification, validation and accreditation of models and simulations being considered for use in support of the Future Combat Systems (FCS)  Brigade Combat Team (BCT) Program.

 

Assist the Lead Systems Integrator (LSI), its One Team Partners (OTPs) and their suppliers, and appropriate government organizations that have an FCS VV&A requirement in understanding the program?s strategic approach to IV&V and how it relates to planned VV&A activities.Assist the LSI, its OTPs and their suppliers, and appropriate government stakeholders in the detailed planning of V&V such that IV&V data/artifacts will be realized.As requested by the Modeling and Simulation Management Office (MSMO), represent the Director, MSMO, at meetings, workshops and conferences to provide broader understanding of both the strategy and its implementation.

 

As requested by the MSMO, represent the Director, MSMO, as an independent evaluator of V&V activities, secure necessary data/artifacts, perform analysis/assessments, and provide documentation and reports supportive of IV&V and accreditation.

 

Individuals in this category are managers having responsibility for the operation of technical programs and the performance of several significant systems analyses, systems engineering or systems development projects, and the tactical management of assigned staff.

 

Education/Experience:

 

Fifteen years of directly related technical experience and substantial management experience (at least five years) in successful efforts involving any combination of systems analysis; systems engineering; systems design; computer programming; M&S development, verification, validation and accreditation; network services; project management; data/records management; or database planning and design.  Personnel in this skill category have previously demonstrated superior leadership skills in many successful efforts involving highly qualified scientific, engineering and/or technical staff.

 

Qualifications at this level include a Masters degree in a scientific, engineering, mathematics or computer science discipline or an MBA with a technical undergraduate degree.  Ten years of technical or program management experience with a mathematics, engineering, science or computer science undergraduate degree may be counted in lieu of the Masters degree.
