Senior Sustaining Developer – C++

Summary:

The sustaining developer is responsible for sustaining all existing Iron Mountain digital products and developing the interim releases of these products. 

 

Iron Mountain digital engineering plans for a six-month major release cycle.  Engineers in this role have ownership of designing and implementing service packs and hot fixes to solve critical customer needs that arise in between major releases. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

?  Understand field problems.

?  Track down customer identified problems in the source code base.

?  Design and implement fixes that may require the development of special code or procedures to recover from abnormal situations at the customer site.

?  Rewrite high defect rate modules.

?  Implement and help to improve automated testing.

?  Clean up code and documentation to allow for easier support.

?  Develop new features requested by Technical Support and Product Management.

 

 

Must Have:

?  C++ knowledge on both Windows and Unix environment.

?  SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational DB

?  Good written and verbal communication skills

?  Good inter-personal skills

?  Understanding of the goal of unit tests and the ability to write them

?  Ability to follow and contribute to functional and design specifications
