SharePoint Administrator

The person in this position will assess business unit requirements and design portals based on the SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007 platforms. Job responsibilities include writing code to implement the solution, packaging the code for deployment, and maintaining the code and application through the full development and deployment life cycle.

Must have at least 3 years experience providing support for Collaboration products.
Responsible for defining and evaluating the daily and long-term development needs of all Sharepoint portals.
Researches and assesses the functional development of the portals.
Develops HTML pages, forms, templates, areas, and team sites on the portals.
Design and develop SQL databases to interact with web based systems.
Provides support, including training and troubleshooting technical issues.
Provide day-to-day administration and support on existing Sharepoint portals.

Qualifications:
' 2+ years supporting and administering Microsoft Sharepoint portals.
' Strong knowledge of SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services.
' Strong knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory and SQL.
' Strong knowledge of current IT infrastructure and Sharepoint, Messaging and Directory Services trends.
' Good understanding of network security and management frameworks. Configure and maintain document libraries, lists, team sites, etc.
' Ability to communicate well to understand the business needs and turn requirements into reality.
' Ability to collect and examine technical data from a variety of sources in order to offer solutions.
' Work independently, prioritize multiple assignments and issues, and use initiative to accomplish results.
' Possess organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills, as well as strong communication skills for explaining and resolving technical issues.

' Knowledge of internal and external configuration of Sharepoint portals for client and internal use.
' Good understanding of Sharepoint security model and best practices.
' Strong knowledge of the Sharepoint data model and how to utilize multiple databases for better scalability and performance.
