Sharepoiint Business Analyst

PURPOSE OF THE JOB/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As a valuable member of the portal team, The Information Solution Designer will be responsible for the development of the corporate Intranet site and other portal applications utilizing SharePoint Portal Server technology.

 

Core duties involve:

 
Interacting with business stakeholders to help define their collaboration needs and translating this need into well documented valuable solutions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Business Analysts, Web Designers, developers, trainers and application support engineer in order to deliver Sharepoint based solutions.
Gathering business and UI requirements through interviews, prototyping and group sessions.
Creating UI prototype, requirements and design documentation necessary to clearly and comprehensively communicate the information architecture requirements
Oversee the information architecture work schedule to insure that deliverable timeframes are met
Advocating for Usability Best Practices throughout the project lifecycle
Development updates and maintenance to existing SharePoint Portal and team sites
Abide to intranet department standards and procedures.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 
Bachelor Degree in information technology
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003, SharePoint Services 2.0
Experience with Information Architecture design concepts, Intranet and content management standards and best practices.
Proficiency using graphic design tools
Experience working within a structured development lifecycle & methodology
Proficiency with Sharepoint ?out of the box? functionality and document management capabilities, as well as experience taking SharePoint beyond "out of the box" to provide enhanced views of data repositories and backend systems.
Experience with implementation and integration of Sharepoint with reporting tools to provide Business intelligence functions.
Experience with customization of User Interface and understanding of portal / area development lifecycle, administration and configuration.
Hands-on experience working with ASP.Net, Data views, custom web part development.
Knowledge of Sharepoint portal server capabilities as it applies to business solutions
A good understanding of system interdependencies and experience with system integration
Take responsibility for tasks and see them through to successful completion.
Excellent customer service skills.
