Ad Astra is looking for an experienced software architect to work with the existing team on the development of the company?s next generation of web-based products.

 

Primary Responsibilities:Works with Business Analyst to refine requirementsDesigns and maintains the overall architecture of Astra Schedule software productsCreates software design documentation from detailed requirementsPackages development projects for programmer teamsPerforms system impact analysesResponsible for the overall data and functional stability and operation of all Astra Schedule productsExperienced in successfully estimating design and development level of effort

 

Education and Experience:Minimum of 8 years experience in software development effortsMinimum of 4 years experience in development of enterprise level applications, preferably in web-based applicationsExperience using UML in a production development environment specifically creating sequence, state, and class diagramsMinimum of 3 years in lead developer or architecture positionExperience with software configuration and impact of infrastructure of software deploymentSignificant experience in development using Microsoft Visual Studio EnvironmentPrimary languages Java, C#Significant experience with SQL Server, VB.NET, ASP.NET, and Oracle (PLSQL)Demonstrated experience working with an n-tier application structureFamiliar with distributed data structures including multiple web servers and platformsExperience with creating a consistent user interface over multiple products and modules
