The LRS Software Engineering group at the Weapons System Support Center located on Tinker Air Force Base requires an embedded software engineer to conceptualize, design, analyze and prepare trade studies, and prototype new avionics systems that include high assurance Multi-Level Security (MLS) solutions and other DoD standards for system certification to handle classified information.

Basic Qualifications: This position requires experience in design and development, code, integration and test of custom embedded software for real-time Operational Flight Programs (AVIP, DCP, FM, CID, and RFSU). Position requires a minimum of 9+ years experience programming in a high-level language - (C++, C, FORTRAN, Jovial, UNIX, UNIX internals, Linux, Linux Device Drivers).
Requirements for the position include a BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering U.S. Citizenship, ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance and Special Access Clearances are required.

Preferred Experience: Experience with avionics systems, C embedded programming with modern RTOS (VxWorks or Integrity). iData, MilStd 1553, or 1750A would be a plus.
