Software Design Analyst / HM7005

We are currently recruiting for a Software Design Analyst to join our Homecare R&D team. The ideal candidate will work with health care professionals and technologists to design industry leading software for the homecare and hospice market. You?ll use your existing industry knowledge to gather requirements from customers, experts, and business leaders, translate what you observe into well written design requirements, and review and refine your product features as they evolve through our software development process. Responsibilities Include:
? Product Definition ?
o Collaborate with Misys Homecare customers and internal groups to identify and prioritize business needs
o Visit current or prospective customers to observe end user environments and characteristics
o Collaborate with internal groups to specify and review product functional requirements and user experience
o Assist as needed with rollout activities including: on-site support, staff education, troubleshooting and resolving system and workflow problems
? Process Management -
o Participate in the development and improvement of product definition processes
o Ensure product definition processes are in place and being used
? Provide project representation within and external to Misys Homecare Systems ?
o Develop and present selected feature demonstrations
o Attend and present at industry and Misys sponsored conferences

Qualifications:

Education/Experience Requirements:
? Bachelors degree
? 2+ years Product Management or business/requirements analysis in a commercial software development environment
? Outstanding communication, listening, and negotiation skills; team leadership; comfortable with conflict management

Experience Preferred
? Demonstrated experience working in a geographically distributed environment
? Experience in a healthcare IT vendor environment
? 5+ years Clinical or Financial Management experience in a healthcare environment
? Experience in defining functional requirements and user experiences
? Demonstrated definition of product requirements through at least one full software release cycle (Inception through Deployment)
