Axioma, Inc., headquartered in New York City, is a venture-funded, private company that designs, develops, and markets optimization modeling and decision-support software for the financial services industry. Axioma?s software applications integrate the most advanced analytical procedures and optimization technology to help clients improve investment decisions.

We are currently seeking a Software Developer/Research Assistant to work with senior members of our Research and Development group in our Marietta, Georgia office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary job responsibilities are developing internal software for creating equity risk models, automated systems to test risk models and portfolio construction products, and prototypes of new quantitative-finance methodologies. The candidate will be expected to work closely with senior members of the research group to develop and test financial equity risk models, risk analytics, performance attribution techniques, and other quantitative finance methodologies, compile and analyze test results, and report results to the research team. The candidate will also be expected to help with the building of new product releases and maintenance of source code repositories.

REQUIREMENTS:
? B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related area.
? Extensive experience programming in Java or C++
? Strong analytical and quantitative skills
? 0-3 years of relevant work experience

OTHER SKILLS: (Candidates having several of these skills will be given highest consideration.)
? Experience using subversion, maven, and Eclipse
? Experience developing with Python or Matlab
? Knowledge of numerical analysis, simulation, and/or statistical techniques
? Experience with SQL and Oracle
? Experience using a statistical package such as R, S-PLUS, SPSS, or SAS
