We are seeking a Software Developer for our New York City office located in mid-town Manhattan.

?

This professional will develop and support custom state-of-the-art Intelligence Transportation System and Traveler Information System (TIS) software components.

?

The Software Developer will be responsible for coding, testing applications and documentation based on a project?s functional and business requirements ? this includes front-end design, database design, configuration of hardware and add-in scripts and programs.? He/she will maintain and document code using source control to ensure proper versioning of software, prepare and maintain technical documentation for project team and client deliverables, and will research technology required for projects to aid in software selection and trouble shooting system errors.??

?

The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of RDBMS and experience performing data extractions, conversions and manipulations.?

?

Required Skills:?

?Two plus years of experience in full life cycle of object-oriented software development on a development team, including requirements analysis, system design, code implementation, unit testing, system integration and production support in a multi-tiered, distributive architecture.

?Recent C# or VB, COM, XML, and SQL Server experience is required.

?Experience/expertise with applications development and operations in a predominantly Microsoft Windows environment and infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, XML, .NET, HTML and CSS.

?Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems or Engineering from a US accredited four year university.

?Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

?

Desired Skills:?

?Experience with C and C++ is desired. Experience with Perl is a plus.

?Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and text processing utilities.

?In-depth knowledge of network protocols used by Windows (NBNS, DNS, IP, WINS, etc.) a plus.
