Title: Dev III Suite Analytics



Objective:

The PTU Suite Optimization Analytics Group is building SAP's next generation of Analytic Applications and drives SAP's Analytics strategy. As part of the Product Technology Unit Suite Optimization we are developing technologies, concepts and applications that will deliver benefits all across the entire mySAP Business Suite.

Our current activities are focused on building an industry leading application for global Spend Analysis that will serve as a blueprint for other analytic solutions. We are part of an international team with other major groups in Walldorf (Germany) and Bangalore (India).

Position Responsibilities:

- Conducts product design, systems analysis and programming activities, which may require extensive research.
- Involved in Bug-verification, release testing and beta support for the assigned products.
- Operating under general supervision, it is a fairly senior level position.
- Exhibits strong degree of independence and has a finite amount of time where ramp-up and knowledge transfer take place.
- You will need to research and understand product requirements such as target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
- Occasionally, you will be also involved in on-site client work or remote collaboration with customers.
- We are expecting also specific experience with Analytic and/or Enterprise Applications such as ; SRM, Procurement, ERP, SCM; Object Oriented Design methodology; Web Application UI Development; Service Oriented Architectures, Enterprise Search; Basic SQL skills, BI domain knowledge: OLAP Analysis, Reporting, Data Mining .
- Additional competencies that are required are Creativity, Teamwork, Analytical Thinking, Drive for Results and presentation skills
- An educational degree of a Master or Ph.D in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields such as Physics is highly useful.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires 5+ years of professional experience in software development and architectural design for ERP solutions covering the whole lifecycle of application development. 3+ years design and development experience with Java including JSP, EJB, Web Services.

Travel Requirements:

10% domestic and international travel may be required
