Software Developer - ILOG Fab PowerOps Optimization Engine

 

The ILOG Fab PowerOps team is looking for a skilled software developer to join a small team that is building a suite of products to improve the efficiency of semiconductor fabs. As a member of a small and highly customer-focused team, this position will give the candidate the opportunity to participate in all phases of the software product development and deployment process, including translating customer requirements into product features, developing optimization engines to implement these features, evaluating and tuning these engines on customer data, participating in the deployment of these engines at customer sites, supporting the future use of these products by customers, and training people to perform future deployment and support.


Experience and skills required:


Masters in Computer Science or Operations Research. Background and experience in optimization, including mathematical programming or constraint programming.
Great proficiency and a strong desire to write efficient, high quality
software.
Experience in object-oriented programming, preferably in C++.
Ability to communicate effectively with a product team that is geographically distributed.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, in either a customer
support or sales support capacity.
Must be able to work independently.



Desirable qualities: PhD in Computer Science or Operations Research. Experience with ILOG optimization products. Experience in detailed resource scheduling. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes. Familiarity with business rules technology. Familiarity with relational database concepts.Position may require international travel.
