Software Development Engineer C++

Required qualifications for the position:

- Proficiency with Windows application software design and development using MS Visual Studio (preferably .net).

- Proficiency in programming in C, and C++.

- Experience with a real-time operating system, preferably VxWorks.

- Experience with structured and object-oriented methodologies including analysis, design, and development.

- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.

- Ability to work in a collaborative team based environment.

- Ability and willingness to author technical documents such as software specifications and reference manuals, user guides, and fault reports using MS Word and similar tools.

- Willingness to adhere to a formal development process

 

Preferred qualifications for the position:

- Experience with InstallShield, RoboHelp, ClearCase, and ClearQuest tools.

- Experience with MS Access database.

- Proficiency in programming in a scripting language such as TCL/TK.

- Proficiency in programming in Java, Visual Basic, and C#.

- Experience in developing software for real-time embedded systems.

- Experience with software test automation.

-  Knowledge of basic electronics and use of test equipment.

- Ability to capture and analyze the needs of a variety of customers, and design and develop solutions that meet those needs.

- Ability to make informal presentations to peers and customers describing product functionality and implementation.

- Experience with software development life cycle in the medical device industry.

- Knowledge of cardiac pacemaker and ICD functionality.

- Experience in requirements specification, and project planning and leadership.

 

Require BS/BA degree in CS or related field, or relevant coursework, or typically 5+ years of work experience in a related field.
