Software Development Engineer - Shopping Experience

Technical Product Program Manager, Shopping Experience
Amazon.com is seeking an experienced Technical Product Program Manager to join the Shopping Experience Team. You will be responsible for managing programs and projects that improve our consumer's ability to find, discover and buy on Amazon.com. Specifically, you will manage a mix of large-scale initiatives and smaller projects that impact the Amazon.com homepage, product pages, search, and store navigation.
As a TPPM, you will oversee user interface design efforts, usability testing, requirements definition, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, and launch efforts across a number of different teams. You have the primary responsibility for all project deliverables and act as the single point of contact for all project communication. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and do your best to maximize business benefit and build great customer experiences. You will possess exceptional customer relationship skills, be able to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines.



Maturity, judgment, negotiation skills, influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills are essential and critical to successful management of programs and projects at this level. Our ideal candidate has an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, business, or related field, plus 3-5 years relevant technical project management experience. You should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of project management tools and methodologies, analytical and problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. MBA preferred.

Amazon.com is recruiting for Seattle-based opportunities. Relocation to Seattle, WA is required.
