Software Eng Manager

Seeking first line manager of software engineering department at AOD (Applications
on Demand, formerly Corio, Inc.) engaged in the planning, designing,
developing, testing, and implementation of advanced complex programming
systems or part of a large application of comparable complexity.
Responsibilities include: Discharges basic management responsibilities as
assigned. Works with customers, users and peers to understand system
requirements. Conceptualizes unusual approaches to programming problems.
Develops plans, schedules, and cost data for computer programs. Participates
in planning advance, experimental state of the art programming systems.
Leads in the design, development, testing and implementing of assigned
systems programs. Assures assigned activities are completed within committed
objectives. Makes presentations to management.

Desired Skills
Possess 10 years of progressive relevant experience, 5 years of leading
and managing software developers, 5 years of software development
experience. Significant experience in design and implementation of J2EE
based applications. Specific experience with IBM Websphere tools a strong
plus. Experience in implementing (hands-on) J2EE based Web Services.
Significant experience in architecting solutions.
