About the Opportunity
The Software Engineer will work with teams of outstanding software developers on various projects. The main responsibilities will be design and implement advanced mapping and graphic applications for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geodetic Survey and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) related application running on Windows 32 or other target platforms and devices.
The qualified engineer is expected to work with the design team to identify the scope of assigned tasks, structure and maintain agreed architecture to assure timely product release. The Software Engineer is also expected to work with Quality Assurance team to create functional and system test plan. Whenever possible, the Software Engineer should take initiatives in collaborating with R&D manager and project manager to identify the needs and improvements to the development process. Requirements:
? Minimum BS in Computer Science or related Engineering fields.
? The qualified candidate should possess solid understanding of software engineering and at least 4 to 5 years hands-on experience in computer programming. The qualified candidate should have strong mathematical and analytical skills and clear understanding of computer graphic theory.
? Working knowledge of C++/C# programming language, Microsoft development tools, understanding of multi-thread concept and strong Graphical User Interface (GUI) design experience are required.
? Working knowledge of Field Survey, Geodesy, GIS/CAD applications, database design, and numerical analysis are preferred.
