Software Engineer BIOS
Duties of Position:Writing design documentation, implementing the design in x86 Assembly on AMD based hardware platforms.Works with hardware and ASIC development teams.Design, implement, test, and support significant enhancements to an existing server BIOS utilizing custom ASIC.Provide technical support during hardware bringup.
Qualifications: Minimum of a BS in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or appropriate equivalent experience.Two or more years of BIOS development.Minimum of 3 years of additional software design and development experience.Good working knowledge of C and C++ Assembly programming.Knowledge of x86 Assembly programming using MASM on AMD Processors.Knowledge of system BIOS; preferably Phoenix (AMI, Award, are OK as well).Experience in AMD Processor board bring-up with newly developed hardware a plus.Strong knowledge in one or more of the following as it relates to BIOS: Power Management (ACPI), PCI, PCI-X, PCI Express ? NIC & SCSI, SAS, SATA, USB ? IPMI, BMC integration, system management support ? SMP, NUMAGood communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to work with others in a team environment.
