Software Engineer CDN

This position is in the CDN organization.

 

The Ethernet Routing Switch 8k Product Line is Nortel Networks premium Ethernet Switching Portfolio and includes the ERS 8600, ERS 8300 and the ERS 1600.  Target for the core, the wiring closet and the edge, these devices continue to grow in the breadth of their offerings.

Working with product management as well as the larger team of other SW and HW Engineers, you'll play a key role in defining and executing various Protocol  Implementations  for building resilient, secure and converged Ethernet platforms that offer superior  and secure convergence solutions to our customers.

? Successful track record of developing and delivering high-quality, complex Embedded software features against aggressive schedules.
? Strong skill sets in the areas of Layer 2 (STP, VLANs, MLT) and Layer 3 ( Unicast and Multicast )  protocols design and development for Switching and Routing products.
? Strong  knowledge of Layer 3 protocols
? VxWorks/ Linux  programming  for complex multitasking embedded environment a must
? Strong debugging abilities and the skill sets to troubleshoot complex SW systems
? Familiarity with the Clearcase Development Environment
? Strong fundamentals in Software engineering principles and practices; System integration/ Testing methodologies; Technical documentation methods.
? Successful candidate will be a self-starter and a fast learner. Laser focus on quality and orientation to expeditious execution. 3+ years in software development.
? MSCS/EE or equivalent
