The Software Engineering Directorate (SED) is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, test and validation activities for these systems within IDS. We provide engineering design processes, standards and test expertise to Raytheon's current programs, along with new system technology development. SED centers are located in Andover, Tewksbury, Sudbury & Woburn, MA: Portsmouth, RI, Huntsville, AL., & San Diego, CA.. We ensure that our customers? requirements are implemented, tested, validated and integrated into deployed systems throughout the world.

Software Engineer I - Portsmouth, RI
Opportunities currently exist within all SED's departments that provide software engineering, integration and test expertise to the radar missile fire control systems, sensor systems and early warning systems within IDS. Our opportunities require individual's to perform various engineering activities depending on their experience and skill level. These activities include software development, integration, test, modeling and simulation, requirements development, simulation data analysis, and overall systems integration.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and/or Software Engineering or related engineering degree.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills
- MATLAB, Simulink, and/or other analysis tools
- Working knowledge of Unix
- C, C++, JAVA
- Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Engineering Project or Internship experience
- Customer focus and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
