Software Engineer - Java

Position Description:

QCSI, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, with offices in Portland, is an innovative, cutting-edge software company, developing enterprise software for the health insurance payer market space. Our customers are claims payer organizations in the commercial, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare, and Medicaid markets.

QCSI is experiencing tremendous success and rapid growth. We currently are in need of a Software Engineer, qualified candidates will be responsible for developing Java and database software for web based applications. Development cycle responsibilities include ability to analyze business requirements to determine technical requirements; design, build, test, and implement applications; ability to work with team to resolve issues in a real-time environment.

Qualified candidates will possess two to four years experience in Java/OOP development of mission critical web-based applications. Development in a distributed web environment. Ability to work independently and interface effectively with people.

BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of J2EE programming, object-oriented programming techniques (C++ and/or Java), SQL, and Internet protocols is required.
