Software Engineer

Object-Oriented Java Development

Location: Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C.

Status: Full-time employee
Clearance: DoD SECRET required to start, U.S. citizenship required.

 

Opportunity:

Software Engineer to support existing, funded contract with the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Electronic Warfare (EW) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Branch. You will update existing simulations used for EW analysis as a member of a software development team responsible for developing, updating, and integrating software changes to existing software product written in objected-oriented JAVA. You'll work on-site at the customer?s facility with minimal supervision.

 

Required: 

B.S., Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

2+ years professional experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) using JAVA.

Full lifecycle support of software.

Strong understanding of Computer Science and Computer Engineering.

Minimum SECRET clearance to start.

 

Desired: 

Electronic Warfare domain knowledge or experience.

Expertise in JAVA language and tools.

Proficient in C++.

Familiar with a variety of operating systems (Windows, LINUX, UNIX).
