Software Engineer-Legal/IS

As a Software Engineer supporting the Legal department at Micron, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications applicable for the area. In this position, you will establish and maintain a strong working relationship with Legal and Strategic Communications users; participate in an on-call rotation; and conduct and participate in analysis, design, and code review sessions to improve system quality. Additionally, you will communicate timely status to customers and management; test, implement, and support both third-party and internally developed applications; act as a liaison with various vendors; and participate in software deployment and release activities.  Participation in an on-call rotation may be required as well.



Qualified candidates should have a minimum of two years experience in software engineering.  You must have functional skills in at least two of the following areas: Visual Basic, C#.Net (ASP.Net), ASP, and/or SQL.  You must have strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills and have experience with, or understanding of, formal and/or Industry Standard SDLC (e.g. RUP, Agile, etc.).  You must be self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.  Other desirable competencies include good time management skills and strong multi-tasking capabilities. 


 


Education:
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience required.
