Job Title- Software Engineer- Metadata team

Responsibility:-Design and implement various components for Informatica metadata repository. Design and enhance metadata models for Informatica products.Design and enhance existing semantics for data transformation definition and execution metadata representation in the repository.Design, implement, and enhance the basic server framework for the repository server. Framework components include client-server communication framework, repository service framework, meta-modeling framework, metadata object transaction and locking framework, security management, etc.Design, implement, and enhance metadata services to be provided on top of the repository framework. Service components would include database persistence, backward and forward compatibility of metadata, metadata import/export in XML, object queries, metadata dependency analysis, thin java and web client?s access to metadata, web services support, etc.

Must have:-4+ years of industry experience in developing mission critical software components. Strong Programming skills in C++. Good object oriented design and programming concepts Comfortable with database concepts. Knowledge in databases, SQL query, and database schema design is a plus. Good knowledge of client-server technology and multi-threaded application.  Experience in developing client-server middleware components.
