Software Engineer - Oracle / PeopleSoft

ProLogic is currently seeking a Software Engineer for the ITES contract in Morgantown, WV. The ITES contract provides IT services and engineering for the National Energy Technology Lab (NETL) at Morgantown and Pittsburgh including enterprise engineering, software application development and sustaining engineering, desktop support, networks, cyber security, and computing facility operations in support of approximately 1600 users. The ITES contract also provides the Human Resource information systems for the entire Department of Energy.

Responsibilities:
?Performing systems analysis, architecture design, software design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities for approved CHRIS software projects. This may include online modifications, reports, interfaces, or newly designed modules.
?Providing constructive feedback to other CHRIS developers.
?Generating required lifecycle documentation.
?Providing project status and issues to the CHRIS Lead Software Engineer.
?Communicating with functional and technical staff in multiple locations.
?Analyzing and evaluating production issues and developing efficient solutions that meet customer requirements.
?Monitoring production application processes

Required Skills / Experience:
?B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or related field
?4+ years applicable object-oriented database development experience, preferably with Oracle.
?Or a combination of 3 years of experience with PeopleSoft 8+ (PeopleCode, SQR, preferably with Peoplesoft HCM) with 3+ years applicable object-oriented database development experience.
?Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
?Object oriented development experience or education.
?Ability to travel 3-6 weeks in first 3-6 months of employment with 2-3 weeks of travel in first 6 weeks of employment unless selected candidate is experienced with PeopleSoft. Occasional travel may be required thereafter.
?Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
?Solid understanding of project methodology/change control/code migration procedure/coding & development standards.

Desired Skills / Experience:
?PeopleSoft, SQR, Oracle, HTML, Java, PL/SQL
?Human Resources or Business Applications
?Configuration Management Principles and Practices
?Experience with CMMI Level 3 or higher
?5-10 years applicable object-oriented database development experience, preferably with Oracle.
?Or a combination of 3 years of experience with PeopleSoft 8+ (PeopleCode, SQR, preferably with Peoplesoft HCM) with 5 years applicable object-oriented database development experience.

Required Education & Training:
?B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or related field
?3 years applicable object-oriented database development experience, preferably with Oracle.
?Or a combination of 3 years of experience with PeopleSoft 8+ (PeopleCode, SQR, preferably with Peoplesoft HCM) with 3+ years applicable object-oriented database development experience.
