Software Engineer

Chyron Corporation currently has an opening for an Software Engineer to join our team in Melville, NY. The Software Engineer will work closely with other engineers in the development of software for Windows based graphics systems for broadcast television graphics industry. Chyron Corporation is a leading provider of broadcast hardware, software and associated services to the broadcast, post production, professional and corporate video user.

Candidates must be local. Relocation is not covered by Chyron.

Responsibilities

Implementing, documenting and testing software for various Chyron graphics products.

Interfacing with customers and product specialists to better understand problems and implement appropriate solutions.

Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science

Must have coding and design skills in Object-Oriented Programming using Visual C++

Must be adept at troubleshooting and correcting software bugs in large applications

Excellent communication and problem solving skills

The following experience / skills are also desired:

Win32 API

MFC and MDI applications

Graphics and image manipulation

Experience with OpenGL and/or DirectX

Experience with C# and/or Java is a plus
