Software Engineer, San Diego office

Position Summary:

Software Engineer is responsible for implementing projects in a timely manner, in conformance with coding standards and in compliance with the specs.  This individual will also help spot and repair any deficiencies in our applications as well as help highlight areas that are ripe for new features or enhancements.  Position will report to the technical development manager and will work closely with the entire development team, IT teams as well as project and product management.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

? Software Development: This candidate must have a proven track record of successful development and deployment of complex web applications using technologies such as PHP, Oracle, Apache, SMTP, and Web Services.

 

? Software Design and Documentation: This candidate will be comfortable analyzing specifications and designing a solution that efficiently meets those requirements.  This candidate will also be comfortable documenting implementation choices and technical user guides as appropriate, as well as providing test plans to QA.

 

? Work Environment: This is a fulltime position in a fast paced changing environment with the possibility for occasional travel. It offers excellent opportunity for growth as well as career advancement within a growing organization.

 

Qualifications for Success

? Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)

? 3 + years of PHP (PHP5) web application development experience

? 3 + years of Oracle SQL experience, especially 10g

? Strong software development experience in fast time to market internet environment

? Independent, self-motivated, and success driven

? Comfort with SDLC processes

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Experience in a cross-functional environment and the ability to work with team members
