Cerner Corporation is seeking a mid to senior level software engineer/web developer (5 – 10 years of professional experience) to support maintenance and development of their Halo product. Halo is a web-based, data mining application used by major pharmaceutical companies to analyze safety related, prescription drug data.

The individual will work as a member of a small team (1- 3 persons) reporting directly to the lead product Engineer. The Halo application architecture utilizes Active Server Pages (ASP), Visual Basic 6, and C++ development technologies. In addition, Halo includes a sophisticated user interface that requires strong HTML and JavaScript skills. The job responsibilities include writing technical specifications, development of new functionality, and fixing bugs identified in production releases and Q/A testing. The position will eventually include supporting the migration of the current Halo architecture to .NET technology as well as the supporting current projects utilizing ASP.NET and VB.NET.
