Software Engineer-Web Solutions

As a Software Engineer in the Micron Web Solutions group, you will be responsible for developing and supporting Micron's web environment.  This includes (but is not limited to) developing web applications, researching web technologies, and establishing and communicating web development standards and processes to the Micron development community.  Additional responsibilities include training, mentoring, and developing/maintaining code libraries.  You will also be involved in the direction and support of Micron's corporate web infrastructure.  You will be required to participate in the group on-call rotation and be available for off-hours support. 

Qualified candidates must have strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem solving, and application and database design skills. You should be self-motivated with the ability to consistently achieve desired results; have strong multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively; and be a self-starter who actively takes initiative on issues with systems.  You must possess the ability to encourage and foster positive working relationships with all analysts and developers within the IS departments and all external support groups.
 
Other competencies include experience with the following technologies: ASP.NET, C#, Perl, Web Services (XML & SOAP), ADO.NET, database design, and VS.NET.  You should have strong organizational and project management skills, technical direction, and vision.  Experience with ASP.NET 2.0, IIS/Apache, *NIX or SiteMinder is a plus.
 
Education
BS Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required.
