Software Engineer

 

The successful candidate will perform software and firmware development on current and next-generation products.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 With customer input, develop new multi-tier products designed to run on embedded platforms from Windows desktops environment and user interfaces Work with Product Design/Product Management to ensure that the architecture supports key end-user product requirements Recommending alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures Execute product plans based upon product functional specifications Prototype and demonstrate applications for potential customers Meeting aggressive deadlines and deliver high-quality software

 

Skills and Experience: BS in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree a plus Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience working with Java and C++ Must be proficient in development on the Windows platform with MFC, Win32 API, XML, and .NET   Desktop applications, real-time audio and video processing Embedded development experience a plus Excellent analytic problem-solving Strong user interface design skills Excellent communication skills, creativity, self motivation, and time management skills are required Experience working in a small (5-7 person) team

 

Knowledge of the following a plus: Perforce source control Internet technologies and architectures Experience with computer/console game and/or Lighting Design markets Experience with Show Lighting or Real Time Media Display equipment
