We have multiple positions in the area of Software Engineering.  Final grade is based on skills and experience. 

 

The incumbent works under close supervision of a Department Head, Section Head or a more experience engineer and are responsible for applying basic techniques and principles in assigned tasks which are well defined, short in duration, and are accomplished using specified methods.  The incumbent must be capable of cooperating with various departmental personnel to facilitate in obtaining and providing detailed technical information required for the successful handling of the departmental workload.  Participate in the design and development of software for an embedded Marine Navigation product in accordance with customer, regulatory and performance specifications.  Work as part of a team of innovation Systems and Software Professional Engineers within a CMM Level 3 organization. 

 

All positions require a BS in Computer Science, or closely related degree, and a minimum of five years experience.  Seeking individuals with experience in multithreaded C/C++ application development for real-time embedded systems; familiarity with software development lifecycles and the Linux Operating System or an understanding of network interfaces/communications and Network Time Protocol (NTP); experience with C++, C#, Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET platform; familiarity with software development lifecycles, including RUP and the use of UML; or an understanding of network interfaces and communications, and experience with Microsoft Windows XP Embedded development as well as CORBA development.
