Software/Firmware Test Technician 1

Position Description:
Duties include running tests to verify code fixes and find defects introduced by those fixes. Also, the technician will run a large assortment of firmware and software tests on various releases of code, interpreting the results, and providing this information to client and engineers via web based systems and direct contact with client.

The responsibilities of test execution include but are not limited to the following:
-Updating FW code to devices being tested using basic and some intermediate level UNIX commands
-Read and implement test procedures
-Work with Analysts to correct test issues
-Work with web-based test and archive utility
-Troubleshooting FW and HW issues that may occur during testing
-Communicate issues, concerns, and defect information in a professional, detailed manner to customers and Adecco Management


Minimum Requirements:
1 year technical education or equivalent or 1 year related experience

Required:
-Working knowledge of printers and error handling
-Basic networking knowledge
-Knowledge of Microsoft OS?s and Office Applications
-Ability to follow directions
-Basic troubleshooting knowledge
-Proven ability to multi-task across projects
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to work alone and in a team environment
-Must be able to lift 50lbs and move equipment around as needed
