Software Project Manager

 

Software Company integrated clinical and financial systems for health care industry, seeking Project Manager responsible for the successful planning and execution of new software development to guide the product vision through its development applying breakthrough technologies and building the right architecture.  Duties include:Gathering and writing of specifications.Researching business rules.Managing the development work schedule, and coordinating the design, development, and implementation of our products. Must possess a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve interpersonal conflicts.  Ability to reduce risk significantly, often by adhering to a policy of open communication, ensuring that every significant participant has an opportunity to express opinions and concerns so that risk is controlled and uncertainty minimized. Makes decisions in such a way that it directly benefits the project.At least 3 years direct experience managing a project, including direct experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of a software project.Design and creativity, technical depth and understanding.Complex problem solving, negotiation and conflict management, Cross group collaboration, drive for results, ability to deal with ambiguity.Strong knowledge of SDLC process, best practices and methodologies. Direct hands-on experience with spec writing for software applications. Demonstrated project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. Excellent coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.  Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a time-sensitive environment.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.  Candidate must express enthusiasm and desire to excel in this complex and challenging environment.
