Software Quality Engineer - Digital Front End

We have another exciting opportunity in the digital print industry.

Responsibilities:Review system and subsystem requirements, specifications, and subsystem test results for test planning purposes Interface with marketing, h/w & s/w developers, subsystem integrators and testers Develop test plans, test cases, reliability estimates, project plans, and matrices of customer type jobs Utilize existing test tools, write customized test scripts and provide input for automation of test files
Install, integrate and test multiple front-end platforms and software applications Find, document, debug and track problems Write status and summary reports Execute SW Quality test cases and monitor system metrics

Create SW Quality summary report of testing activities

Review competitive equipment, customer profiles to benchmark and plan test cases

Skills Required:
Must have experience in testing software
Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills Must have good communications and writing skills Must be a self-starter and self-motivator Must be skilled in the use of both Macintosh computers and PCs. Must be familiar with automated test tools and writing automated scripts Must be able to review requirements documents, functional specifications, and software design documents then derive and create test plans from them.

Skills Desired:
2100 Product knowledge
Should have some programming experience with Visual Basic or similar High level programming languages Should have familiarity with Desktop Publishing applications

Should have a basic understanding of printers
Should be able to work in a Lab environment, sharing
equipment with other team members
Should have working knowledge of PostScript printer
description language
Should have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications Should be familiar with Lotus Notes
