Software Support Analyst

Command Alkon, the global leader in integrated solutions to the construction materials industry, is currently seeking qualified Software Support Analysts to provide technical phone support for our proprietary software applications at our Birmingham, Alabama corporate headquarters.

 

A Software Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality technical support services and the highest level of customer satisfaction by understanding Command Alkon software and its functions.  This position will identify the customer?s problems and resolve and follow through all calls in a help desk, team-oriented environment.

 

Responsibilities:

?  Identify effective methods for determining the diagnosis of software issues

?  Analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs

?  Provide and distribute supporting documentation and training as it applies to support and services

?  Diagnose and resolve complex technical and product functionality issues related to the Command Series Suite of applications

?  Assist with Quality Assurance efforts and BETAs

?  Mentor less experienced support analysts

?  Follow team-specific guidelines for product group engagement to ensure timely resolution of customer issues

 



Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form requiredExcellent telephone communication skills a mustAbove average computer literacy skills with the ability to understand the technical aspects of software and its functionsStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills requiredAbility to effectively multitask Oracle, SQL Server database, and Crystal Reports experience a plusBachelor of Science in Computer Science or BusinessBilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
