We are looking for top-notch Technical Support Specialists to provide exceptional level 2 technical support for our integration suite of products to our customer base, our level 1 team, and our consulting team. (This means direct, customer facing contact with all.) As partners, the Level 2 team members will work directly with development, when needed, to resolve customer issues and request enhancements for our products. The primary responsibility of this group is to resolve customer issues. Team members will have code access and are expected to dig as deep into an issue as their skill set allows. A secondary responsibility of this group is to learn and share technical knowledge with other members of the team, Level 1, Customers, and Consultants. This may be in the form of writing a white paper, populating our knowledge base, small training session, etc. Travel required up to 25%.
BS in Computer Science or related technical 2-4 years related programming, operations, technical support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Support in this position requires an intermediate knowledge of the following technologies:
Java (Ability to read and step through an Object Oriented Language, preferably Java): Jdbc, Jdk, Jndi, Jvm, Stack traces, RMI
Databases: SQL, JDBC, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL
Protocols/Standards: http/https, ftp/sftp, SOAP, SMTP, POP, AS1/AS2,RosettaNet
Web World: Xforms, Web Extensions, Tomcat (servlet engine), Servlets, Apache (web server), JSP, JavaScript, HTML
XML: Schemas, DTD?s, Xpath, Namespaces, XSLT, EBXML, BPML
OS: Unix, Linux, Solaris, HP, AIX, Windows, Mainframe, AS400
Security: Certificates, Encryption
In addition to the above technologies, this position also requires the following: excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation. Ideal candidates will also possess good project management and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to follow-through. Also requires strong interpersonal/customer relations skills; clear and concise verbal and written communications; and the ability to express complex technical concepts in layman?s terms, both verbally and in writing.
Spanish/Portugese and English speaking a plus!
