Also modifies and maintains complex existing applications. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs. Applications generally deal with the overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting and advanced mathematic/scientific software packages. May orient and/or train less experienced programmers.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math or equivalent work experience.
* Typically 4 - 6 years programming experience.
* Excellent communication and organization skills; strong technical aptitude
This position is an opportunity for an individual that will assume a leadership role as the senior Active Directory architect. This position will be responsible for delivering technical design/engineering, strategic direction, standards, and support of LDAP/Active Directory for the directory services team. This is a key leadership position and will work closely with distributed systems, client systems, Information Security, application teams, and operations, and other IT and business teams.
The candidate should have a strong and proven senior directory services architect record. The position requires the ability to provide strong leadership of enterprise directory services and will have a strong focus on AD. The individual must have experience at all levels of design, planning, and technical support for AD and directory services. The individual must be capable of developing and communication best practices and security designs for use across projects with minimal supervision. The position will require experience with all aspects of AD including: architecture, schema design, trusts, forests, domains, auditing, alarming, and disaster recovery.
Required Skills / Experience:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience as a Directory Services Architect/Engineer
Technical support, strategic designing, planning and implementing for AD, ADAM, domains, metadirectory, enterprise LDAP, and disaster recovery
Monitoring and reporting tools on AD and LDAP usage, availability, problems and configurations
Proficient in LDAP protocol functions and configurations
LDAP and AD namespace, schema and security design and management
Architecture Modeling (data, process, use case, object, etc.)
System security and application integration principles and best practices
Directory integration and metadirectory products (MIIS, IDI, etc.)
Exposure to multiple LDAP products (e.g. IBM, Sun, and Novell)
Shell Scripting, XML, and Perl
Programming languages such as C, C++, and C#
