Software/Systems Engineer
Requirements: Support applied research and development in the area of distributed software systems, architecture modeling and analysis, and Quality of Service (QoS) technologies. Specific requirements include:
- Expert in architecture modeling and analysis including using UML tools. Experience with distributed system performance, reliability, and fault-tolerance.
- Knowledge of architecture paradigms and related technologies including object-oriented, component-based, and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience on distributed middleware principles, practices, and systems (e.g., J2EE, CORBA).
- Experience with C4ISR domains and Real-time mission systems experience.
- Software development experience using Java and C++.
- Knowledge on quality of service management technologies for large scale distributed systems.
- Understanding of Networking technologies.
- Understanding of software engineering processes and tools.
- Experience with Linux platforms.
Skills: architecture modeling and analysis using UML, networking technologies, quality of service management technologies
Education: An advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
