Software Technician

The US-based subsidiary, Scheidt & Bachmann USA, Inc. has an open position for a Software Technician in our BURLINGTON, MA location.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Software Technician to support our customer with software changes and troubleshooting. The ideal candidates will have the appropriate technical skills (listed below), strong communication skills, working knowledge of German, and a strong work ethic.  Adaptability, mental flexibility and strong memory skills are required. The position requires a clean drug test and background check. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

SUPPORTS CUSTOMERS

by

providing software changes/updates 

AND

visiting customer sites

AND

interfacing with Development, Customers and relevant parties

 

MAINTAINS PROJECT WORK FLOW

by

following policies and procedures; reporting needed software changes; communicating with the project management team

 

MAINTAINS DATA

by

entering relevant information into appropriate databases

 

RESOLVES CUSTOMER PROBLEMS

by

relating their needs to relevant parties

 

MAINTAINS SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT

by

following organization standards and legal regulations; reporting needed changes

 

CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT

by

welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge of Oracle databases

Knowledge of C/C++

Organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and flexible

Knowledge of Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, Windows XP, Windows 2000 Server, Windows NT  4.0 Server,  and Windows Server 2003 required

Knowledge of Excel, Word.

Strong follow-up and communication skills are required.
