Software Test Analyst II & III
Our Cient of Global IT Systems Validation and Testing has three contract-to-
perm positions available: one Software Test Analyst (STA) II and two STA III.

 Skill set STA III
Possess fine-tuned analytical skills and be very detail oriented.
Ability to deconstruct problems/systems into smaller components;
organize components as part of larger system. Demonstrate and
articulate the application of logical, analytical thought to a
testing issue.
Excellent oral/written interpersonal skills; user focused; work
well with team members. Persuasive, yet patient manner
Ability to coach and mentor junior staff
 Increasing competence in test management/automated testing tools;
Solid working knowledge of test management and functional testing
tools strongly preferred.
Very strong knowledge/skills around test case creation and test
execution; ability to create and execute test cases as part of
broader testing strategy. Test case creation and execution would be for
discreet portions or multiple portions of larger sized systems that
are complex and may interface with other products.
Ability to author and execute test cases as well as to assist in
authoring test plans and strategies and coordinate testing and
testing assignments. Requires minimal technical instructions and guidance with complex tasks.
Ability to articulate a testing strategy and create test cases
based on functional operation (OQ) or how users will use the product (PQ).
 Ensure quality, compliance and adherence to a testing methodology
 Solid understanding of the requirements elicitation, analysis, and
specification process. Ability to perform primary testing role in
review of requirements specifications for testability, in design
review and in testing strategy reviews. May lead testing strategy review
sessions.
Solid understanding of relational database theory, multi-tiered
application architecture and related testing strategies.
Possess extensive knowledge of software quality engineering
activities, including project management, user requirements,
functional and detail specifications.
 Ability to perform QC document reviews and ensure discrepancy
remediation
 Ability to manage CSV deliverables
Ability to quickly aquire solid understanding of clinical drug
development process if new to industry.

 

Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 6 years application software testing or computer systems validation experience; or equivalent experience.

 

 

Skill set STA II
Possess fine-tuned analytical skills and be very detail oriented.
Ability to work well with a variety of colleagues from different aspects of the work environment and translate computer system functional specifications into testing scenarios and scripts.
Excellent oral/written interpersonal skills; user focused; work
well with team members. Use clear concise language - may need to be
translated
Ability to deconstruct problems into smaller parts and apply
logical, analytical thought to a testing issue
 Ability to learn and use automated testing tools
Strong knowledge of test case creation and test execution;
ability to create and execute test cases including creation of test data
scripts. Test case creation and execution would be for medium sized systems
and less discreet more complex portions of a larger system. Create test
cases based on functional operation (OQ) or how users will use the
product (PQ).
Ensure quality, compliance and adherence to a testing methodology
 Understand the requirements elicitation, analysis, and
specification process and how to evaluate requirements for testability
 Knowledge and understanding of the CSV and SLC processes
Willingness to assist with the QC document review and management
of CSV deliverables

 

Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related
field, and 4 years application software testing or computer systems
validation experience; or, equivalent experience.
