Software Test Engineer - UNIX
QA engineer with UNIX expertise? This contract-to-hire opportunity could be just what you're looking for!
OVERVIEW:
For this position, with a major player in the search marketing space, you will be assisting with a variety of software quality assurance activities, with an emphasis on UNIX systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing technical product requirements
Documenting / communicating test plans
Creating / maintaining test environments.
Providing oversight to, and participating in, test execution
Reporting regression test results
Developing automated testing scripts
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of software quality assurance experience
In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, UNIX operating systems
Experience implementing functional, regression, and stress testing strategies for distributed web based applications
Experience with relational database systems and SQL query language (MySQL and SQL Server database experience a plus)
Experience with test automation (familiarity with WinRunner a plus)
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of the product lifecycle and QA methodologies
BS in CS or related field
