Solution Architect

In this position, you will be responsible for Information Management (IM) SOA pattern implementations, tooling support and demonstrations. Explore how to enhance the IM SOA pattern usage through tooling assets, e.g. as recipes and/or tooling enhancements. Collaborate with tooling development groups from IM and Rational and assist with prototyping solutions. Interact with client-facing technical teams and selected clients to validate IM SOA pattern implementation and tooling approach. Coordinate the development of demos related to IM SOA patterns between product development teams and marketing to best demonstrate the patterns and the capabilities of associated IBM products in relevant business scenarios. Location preferably Somers, but flexible. Major Field of Study: Computer Science, Information Systems or related. Requirements include: Hands-on experience with Information Management products/solutions, Information Management / Data Architecture; Solution Architecture and Design; Hands-on skills with Rational products (in particular RDA, RSA); Hands-on skills with WebSphere SOA products/Portal Server; SOA Solutions, Architecture, Methodology; Best Practices Development and Delivery; Understanding of SWG and IM Strategy; IT Consulting; Communication, documentation and presentation skills. Proven record of successful solution architecture and design for complex solutions. Advanced hands-on implementation experience with information management products required. SOA solution design, architecture, implementation and methodology experience preferred. Any experience with architecture patterns and/or pattern tooling a plus.
