Sourcing Consultant This position is responsible for creating and driving a broad sourcing strategy to meet the hiring needs of the Legal and Corporate Affairs organization. Strategy should maintain a constant flow of High Quality Leads spanning multiple levels and disciplines.
This position will drive specialized staffing programs to address unique needs and spikes in hiring volume and slate development. This position will work with internal and external partners such as central sourcing, agencies, research companies, as well as handle direct sourcing within budget guidelines to meet the staffing plan for the group. Previous executive search, staffing strategy management, and demonstrable success in executive relationship management are required.
Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Work with the Staffing Manager, HR Generalist and client to agree on specifics for the annual hiring need to create a model that generates the leads needed to meet the annual hiring plan
Engage key staffing and business partners in order to understand the needs of this unique client as well as attain internal expertise of the profile and map to external marketplace
Develop, drive and execute comprehensive search strategies designed to recruit senior and niche candidates in limited candidate spaces-- including driving a business plan which is geared at building key competitive research, industry profile development, networking and direct sourcing.
Manage vendor, agency and contingent relationships, budget and use. May manage contingent and/or vendor staff.
Network and maintain relationships with key candidate communities for short and/or long term opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of top MS business/technical and policy initiatives and competitors.
Responsibilities
65% of the time -- Identify, source and initial screen of 'external passive & active candidates' (Not XPTen) 25% of the time - Mine the internal data warehouse to support the different pipes (XPTen) 10% of the time - Research, develop and maintain relationships in the broader Legal and Corporate Affairs community to understand the competitive landscape
Requirements:
BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience: 6-9 years of related Recruiting experience. Recruiting strategy experience in Legal preferred.
Experience sourcing candidates through direct means via the phone and email (Cold calling, Networking, Headhunting)
Effective strategic thinking, executive search skills, problem solving, cross group collaboration, and oral/written/persuasive communication skills are necessary
Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing an agency relationship
Ability to understand, articulate and sell Microsoft culture and business initiatives
Proven track record of implementing and driving creative unique sourcing strategies
Ability to deliver results with little supervision, and to effectively manage multiple projects and candidates
Ability to meet standard measurements of success for staffing such as, annual hiring plan, diversity goals, and cost/time to hire standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
