Sr Application Developer - Siebel

Job description:WB Entertainment Inc. seeks a Senior Application Developer for the WHV Application Services department. Position is to support Siebel eBusiness suite of applications including Sales Analytics and eConsumer Goods. Work with clients and process owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications, establishing and defining details, definitions, and requirements of applications, components and enhancements. Generate design, development and test plans, detailed functional and technical specifications documents, user interface design, and process flow charts for execution of programming. Lead development of various Siebel tool features. Participate in architectural review and decision-making. Includes a thorough understanding of Siebel eBusiness data model and technical architecture, especially Siebel Analytics. Participate in project planning identifying milestones, deliverables and resource requirements. Tracks activities and task execution. Provides technical direction and support to the Project Manager. Work with clients fielding inquiries and researching solutions and performing subsequent minor maintenance and enhancements on current systems. Follow established SDLC methodologies, identifying areas for improvement and participating in their refinement. Seeks to achieve and apply defined Siebel Best Practices. Document results of work and prepares technical reports on significant results, presenting to Director, VP levels and corporate management. Performs specialized programming to support development projects. Maintains current knowledge of technical changes, advancements and/or improvements within assigned area or discipline, incorporating these improvements where applicable. Serve as technical expert in WHV Sales Analytics application. Lead the design of Analytics server repository and associated meta-data. Lead and develop Siebel Analytics reports.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technical discipline which relates to application development desired. Must have extensive technical expertise with Siebel Analytics (Sales Analytics 7.x) and Siebel 7 eBusiness applications (preferably eCG), Oracle 8i/9i database, PL/SQL. Knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems. Must have extensive technical expertise with Siebel Tools, configuring objects from the data layer to business components to UI objects, script editor, compiler, debugger and other advanced features such as Siebel declarative configuration model. Must have strong ability to analyze, debug and correct Siebel Tools associated component issues. Analytics/business intelligence and data warehousing experience a plus Knowledge of SQLs, query performance tuning on major RDBMSs such as Oracle, DB2, Teradata a plus. Must have thorough understanding of customer business process and specific requirements of assigned applications. Excellent written and verbal communication and professional skills required in order to interact with clients, site peers, local management and executives on technical issues and project planning. Must have broad knowledge of computer technology, system design and programming languages, with expert skills in two or more technical programming competencies. Excellent skills in business and process modeling. Must have thorough knowledge of application system architecture and infrastructure environment where application will reside as well as I/T Systems, NLS, OEM and standard application methodologies, programming languages, and ADM tools. Must have expert web applications, client/server, or mainframe knowledge. Must have in-depth knowledge of network devices, communication protocols, relational database programming. Object-oriented, back end and/or front end development skills required. Knowledge of client/server technology development required, including Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, etc. Must have demonstrated track record leading medium to large projects utilizing techniques, languages, and tools in area of specialization. 5-7 years professional experience in Siebel application development and expert knowledge of related areas required. 3+ years experience in project leadership. Must have demonstrated experience in a leadership role. Entertainment industry experience or financial application experience helpful. Siebel 7 Certification. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions. Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively. Must be able to work well under time constraints. Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned. Must be service-oriented. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
