Company Description:  Our client, who is located in the financial district in Chicago, trades electronically in financial markets around the world, 24 hours/day.

 

Requirements:
? Solid C++ and / or Java experience
? Solid Network programming skills.
? An ability to work in a high stress environment
? Understanding of complex, multithreaded systems
? Experience with TCP/IP communication

 

Duties: Experience with trading is preferred, but if you don't have you'll get it on the job.  What is necessary is interest in the markets and general intellectual creativity, curiosity, and drive.  You'll be working in a cooperative environment with highly skilled colleagues and initially you'll be learning and supporting current production trading applications.  So you need to be able to get along with other smart people while you solve tricky problems on the fly. 

 

You need to know C++ quite well. We do sophisticated work in C++ and Java and you need to come to understand our pre-existing software while becoming prepared to write more. 

We are looking for smart developers who want to learn how to write sophisticated trading applications for automated trading.  You will learn about electronic trading from bottom to top and then carry out projects under the guidance of an experienced senior designer.
