Sr. ETL Developer

  Job Description: Sr. ETL ( (Extraction, Transformation and Load)  
Job Summary  
The Sr. ETL devleoper works closely with the technical design lead on the overall application architecture in order to design components and create design specifications. Responsible for high-level designing, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and editing software code in Java, XML, or SQL as required. With little direction, applies knowledge to provide Internet application development support. Develops interfaces for data manipulation, implements business logic, modifies application code and screen views, and develops other required technical design and development requirements. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Development is services-oriented with rapid development cycles.  
 
Major Responsibilities/Activities
-Design, review, analyze, modify, develop, and implement n-tier, data-driven modular Internet applications. including coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
-Assist in writing technical specifications and supporting documentation for application.
-Analyze technical data, designs, or preliminary specifications
-Work with client/partner data/service providers to define, develop and improve interfaces with other systems
-Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
-Learn leading-edge technologies and stay current on existing technologies.
-Provide analytical, technical, business and management expertise to the group.
-Help position the system for future growth by independently identifying functional deficiencies and proposing improvements.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements  
Skills:  
Critical thinking, organization, detail-oriented, self-motivated, analytical mind-set, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and lead small group of developers. Also requires the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information.  
 
Required Experience/Technologies:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other physical science
-5+ years of professional software development experience
-Perl, Python or equivalent scripting language
-PL/SQL
-Oracle 9i/10g
-Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
-Must be a US Citizen  
 
Desired Experience/Technologies:
-JAVA/J2EE
-XML
-Exposure to all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
-Oracle certification preferred
