Duties & Responsibilities

Siebel is XM?s core CRM platform with our Subscriber Management System (SMS). The position?s primary responsibilities revolve around supporting full systems development lifecycle (SDLC) for assigned Siebel/SMS initiatives ? apply critical thinking and problem solving skills in areas of technical design, architecture, and operational support for the both enhancements and sustaining engineering initiatives; work with offshore development team to deliver releases into testing; ensure proper configuration management is followed; support end-to-end integration, performance and user acceptance testing
Involvement with XM?s production operations team occurs on a rotational basis by major release (approximately on a quarterly basis). Primary responsibilities in this role include coordinating, driving, and/or participating in the activities of our outsourced vendor who provides testing and production support for SMS applications, including Siebel - execute end-to-end integration and performance testing for releases, provide day-to-day tier 3 Siebel operational support in production/training/pre-production test environments, review and prioritize sustaining engineering needs for future development, and respond to critical system issues, including postmortems
Responsible for ensuring that all work is compliant with XM IT policies and procedures; including industry standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, CMMI, ISO, etc
Provides off-hours operational support as needed, including periodic one week rotations as the on-duty engineer

Education and/or Experience

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Master?s (preferred)
Has in-depth Siebel knowledge, as well as understanding the Subscriber Management System (SMS) integration, and the end-to-end environment (LAN/WAN, RDBMS, N-Tier architecture, etc)
Minimum 5 years experience within complex information technology environments with hands-on experience in all phases of the SDLC and familiarity with configuration management tools, release management, automated testing tools, etc
Experience with subscriber management technology, systems, and business (CRM, Billing, Call Centers, Supply Chain, Provisioning systems) in the telecommunications industry
Experience with CTI (computer telephone integration) design, implementation, and administration
Web development experience

Computer Skills

Siebel Certified Consultant or 5 yrs equivalent technical experience
Distributed Systems (WAN) Environment
Automated testing tools (eg. Mercury WinRunner and LoadRunner), preferred
Sun Solaris, Windows NT
Oracle RDBMS
SQL, Java, XML,HTML, Scripting languages (JavaScript, ASP, Perl)
Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
