Sr IS Project Manager - Plymouth, MN

 Major Responsibilities 

 
Provide cross-application project management on UHG Key Initiative projects.
Provide overall project management including:
Collaboration with business project management and sponsors.
Communication with UT senior leaders and business sponsors.
Coordinate development activities across applications.
Manage scope, schedule, and budget.
Manage project plans.
Manage issues and risks.
Perform status reporting.
Manage PROMPT & the Release Tool.
Perform financial reporting - actuals vs. estimate tracking and reporting.


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or business related field is required.
PMI or equivalent industry recognized certification is preferred. Active pursuit of PMI or equivalent industry recognized certification required.
5+ years experience in Project Management.
7+ years experience in one or more areas of business or Information Systems areas is required.
Experience in development of Project Management Offices and methodology implementation.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite required with an emphasis on MS Project.
Advanced project management skills training.
Demonstrates ability to get results in a complex, often ambiguous environment.
Establishes trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrates ability to analyze data, spot trends and barriers to effective project management.
Demonstrated competency in management of multiple or large projects.
Program management experience a plus.
Strong initiative and organization skills.


Adaptive to changing situations and effectively manages change.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
Works well in a virtual cross-functional team environment.
