Sr. J2EE Systems Architect/Developer

This dynamic position is for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Major Responsibilities The position will report to the Director of Systems Architecture, and will have responsibility in the following areas: • Integration of WEB based applications with internal home grown and external applications (Siebel, Remedy, Infranet), • Development of WEB based interfaces for internal and external clients, and • Documentation of requirements provided by internal and external clients.

Qualifications :
Educational Background The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences from an accredited university. MS or MBA is preferred. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: • A minimum of 7+ years experience in developing enterprise software using J2EE technologies using SOA models • Solid experience with mid-tier development using Java script (client & server), servlet, struts, tiles, server-side Java beans and hibernate • Solid experience with ant, log4j, junit, xdoclet • Hands-on experience with system integration technologies such as SOAP, Web Services (axis), XML/XSD/XSLT (Castor a plus) • Knowledge of SQL and one or more relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, • Current knowledge of application servers such as JBoss 3.x/4.x, Apache Tomcat • Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills, including the use of UML and design patterns, • Experience working in a team of application developers and source code repositories (CVS or SVN) • Development experience with Windows and UNIX (i.e. Linux, Solaris), • Experience in all phases of the application software lifecycle (SDLC) - requirements, design, development and testing. Plus Skills • Prior experience with Cold Fusion and PERL is helpful • Experience with JMS and MOM servers (i.e. Sonic MQ), • Knowledge of SNMP/MRTG General Skills The successful candidate must have: • Excellent written and oral communications - at technical and management levels • A can-do attitude, team player and a self starter, requiring minimum day-to-day supervision, with drive to accomplish goals on time and within budget.
