Sr Java Developers - Portal project & SOA - Right-To-Hire

DESCRIPTION: Several Sr Java Developers needed.
* 3 month Right-To-Hire candidates ONLY *
Plan, design, implement and support efficient and cost effective
application software solutions.
Works with full development life cycle, which includes: User requirements,
user design, technical design, detailed design, programming, testing,
production, documentation, implementation and support.
Resolves technical issues and researches best practices for the
monitoring, support, maintenance, and implementation of applications.
Will conduct technical 'hands on' implementation work and will closely
liaison with support and testing departments.
Produces structured code based on the documented requirements.
Develops test plans, perform unit and integrated testing of software.
Prepares and maintains system documentation.
Manages small-medium projects which are less complex in nature.
Must be able to analyze/translate business needs into effective
technical solutions.
Works on components of large complex projects with minimal guidance;
Conducts feasibility studies for project requests received. Models
the inputs, outputs, key functions, steps, value-added tasks and
organizational structures in business processes and information flows.
Gather, compile, interpret, synthesize and normalize information
from business processes or technology systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5 people will be working on a Portal project. The candidates must
have experience with Viniette, Portal Admin and Portal administration.
4 positions are for SOA. The candidates for this must have
experience with WebLogic Integration, Web Services, JMS, EJB, JDBC,
Enterprise Architecture, and intermingling multiple apps.
This is not a mature Java shop and our client does not have things
like a data access layer or data persistent layer. Qualified
candidates have to be able and willing to work without this and
even build it.
4 year degree and 3 + years relevant work experience
as a Java/J2EE Developer.
Experience in J2EE architecture including:
EJB?s, JMS, JNDI, J2EE Connectors, JDBC, CMP, XML, Webservices, etc
Struts, Servlets, JSP, HTML, XML, Webservices
Experience building scalable, mission critical applications
Experience with Object Oriented methods (i.e RUP)
Various Development Tools:
Experience in BEA WebLogic Application Server 8
Experience in BEA WebLogic Workshop (including WLI)
JMX, JTA
Knowledge of J2EE testing (i.e JUNIT, JTEST, Mock Objects, LoadRunner,
etc), and build (ant, cruise control) tools.
Knowledge of Oracle/PL SQL a definite plus.
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary for day-to-day operations
and occasional weekend or after-hours coverage. May be required to
carry cell phone, pager or blackberry.
Duration: 3+ month contract with RTH option
Location: Tampa, FL
Compensation: $50-60/hr based on terms as w2 or c2c basis.
Can go a little higher for an exceptional candidate.
